Éva M TÓTH graduated from the Hungarian Academy of Art and Design as a graphic designer and a secondary school teacher in 1992, then as a visual communication designer at the master programme of the Academy in 1994. As a director from Pannóniafilm, following Magyar Rajzfilm Kft., she makes animated films and art documentaries. Her animated films won several prizes at national and international film festivals. Her works on animation history include Animare necesse est… (2004), Anirama (2010), History of Animated Motion Picture II. (2014). She has been the secretary of the Animation Film Section of the Association of Hungarian Filmmakers since 2008.
She obtained her DLA in 2008 and her habilitation degree in 2015 in Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. In 2016, she was appointed as university teacher. She is the founding professor at the Faculty of Art University of Kaposvár (2000-2017), founder and head of the animation department (BA and MA degrees) of Budapest Metropolitan University (2010-2016), and head of department of Eszterházy Károly University, Eger (2017-).
