Screenwriter Yvonne KERÉKGYÁRTÓ was born in Budapest. She studied at the University of Theatre and Film Arts, and at the Konrad Wolf Film Academy, Potsdam. She participated at several international workshops and trainings, such asMidpoint Script Development, MFI – Script 2 Film; Berlinale Talent Campus, Sarajevo Talent Campus, or Frontieres Co-Production’s Market. From 2015 to 2016, she mentored the National Film Fund’s Incubator Program. Since 2017, she works as creative assistant at the Hungarian National Film Archive. Her first feature film, Free Entry won a GameChanger Award at the prestigious SXSW Festival in 2015.
Her newest direction is the short Gyújtópont (Focal Point). She worked at the screenplay of the animated short of Kinga Rófusz, Irjam és Jonibe (Irjam and Jonibe). Currently, she is the script co-writer of two feature films in the making: Senki nem megy sehova (No One is Going Anywhere, director: Attila Hartung), and Gyerekjáték (Child’s Play, director: Nóra Lakatos).
