This year, Kecskemét will host an important world animation event again. The Kecskemét Animation Film Festival (KAFF) will be held for the 14th time, while the Festival of European Animation Feature Films and TV Films will be held for the 11th time.
For five days, between 19 and 23 June, the event welcomes animation experts and visitors from abroad and Hungary alike, with a multitude of events. KAFF has a unique feature: it takes the accomplishments of the whole Hungarian animation industry into account, and makes them visible, as it allows Hungarian animators worldwide to submit their work. The European competition is intended for feature films, TV specials and TV series.
International entries can be submitted until 4 March, while the deadline for Hungarian entries is 18 March, so the pre-selection can take place in April. The online entry form is available here.
The guest of honor will be Africa this time, with a selection expected from 14 countries.
